The visit was part of the New Year's charity event "Our Children", which has been held in our country for 30 years on the initiative and with the support of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
As part of the program, Russian schoolchildren participated in the country's Main Christmas Tree, held at the Palace of the Republic, where an atmosphere of magic and joy prevailed. The students also visited the Belgoscirk, enjoying the vibrant New Year's Eve Party program, and immersed themselves in a cultural and educational program around Minsk.
Historical sights haven’t been shunted aside as well. The guests visited the Brest Fortress and Belovezhskaya Pushcha, and also got acquainted with the legacy of the Second World War on excursions along the Stalin Line and at the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War.
At the end of the eventful program, all participants of the visit and accompanying teachers were presented with gifts, which was a pleasant end to this bright and informative journey.
We are confident that the visit left unforgettable impressions in the hearts of young Russians and became an important step towards strengthening friendship and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
