From March 3 to March 5, 2021, a delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus headed by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus I.V. Karpenko visited the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Tashkent hosted the 8th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, in which the delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus took part. This event was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus A. Subbotin and Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov.

During the meeting of the commission, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus I.V. Karpenko and the Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Toshkulov A.Kh. signed a Joint Action Plan for the implementation of the Agreement between the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of higher education for 2021 - 2025.
