Cultural and educational program “Feats, legends, culture of the land of Mogilev”
On February 22, 2025 the labor union activity of the Belarusian State University visited the excursion to the heroic places of Mogilev within the events timed to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The event was attended by Ivan Yanushevich, Chairman of the BSU employees' PTUO.
The university employees laid flowers at the memorial complex “Buinich Field” and honored the memory of the defenders of the city with a minute of silence. The excursion also included sightseeing visits to historical sights of Mogilev, including the stone Town Hall with a unique clock, the construction of which began in 1679.
Currently, the Mogilev Town Hall houses a museum of the city's history, where the BSU staff climbed up to the observation deck and enjoyed a magnificent view of the city, as well as got acquainted with the unique mechanism of the tower clock.
This event was an important step in preserving historical memory and patriotic education of the younger generation.
